I arrived at work nearly an hour and a half early this morning. Why? Thanks to the incredibly supportive man in my life, I fell asleep on the couch at 7pm last night and slept right through, besides being woken to go to bed. This morning I feel COMPLETELY refreshed, alert and ready to go. That feeling in itself is refreshing. When I fall asleep at 7, however, I start waking up around 3am, wondering when the alarm is going to go off. By 5am I gave up sleeping and decided to make it an early day at work.
When I arrived, the first email I saw was K-Love's Encouraging Word of the Day, and how completely appropriate it was, for me at least...
"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." ~Colossians 3:23
I must admit, I've become lazy. At work, at home, in life in general. And I need to change that. I don't focus on what I don't have, but when I'm not completely satisfied with what I do have (my job, despite loving the people and being great at it), I put it on the side or back burner and choose to focus on other things.
But maybe that's why I'm not being presented with an opportunity that I would enjoy more. Perhaps it's because I'm not working as hard as I can at what I do have, and making the most of it. Perhaps I need to "whistle while I work" and that will be the key to opening more doors.
Besides work, I have been exploring other opportunities. Dave will be starting school in the next couple of weeks (going for his Bachelors in Game Art and Design!), and hearing him talk about it makes me think about going back myself to finish my Bachelors in Graphic Design. No, the thought of taking out more student loans does NOT excite me, however at least payment on my current loans would stop until I wrapped up the next degree. And where I live now is not an interior design mecca. Besides doing free-lance work, I do not see myself finding a job in the field I was formerly educated in.
Today I believe I'll focus on doing the best I can at everything I do, and stop being lazy and avoiding what I don't particularly want to do.

DAY 163, Post 1
It never ceases to amaze me how completely miserable some people are willing to be 24/7. Whether they be friends, family, exes or co-workers, I just want to smack them into a state of contented bliss. Even during my lowest times, I did not allow myself to walk around in a state where I allowed myself to be a bitch to everyone around me.
The other night DH started a line of bullying interoggation with Thing 1 while on the phone with him. I heard the conversation and decided I needed to put an end to it. DH is convinced he knows more about what goes on in my house than I do and has proceeded to tell the boys how things work at MY house. To me, this is not acceptable. When the boys are with me or on the phone with me I want them to be comfortable, not feel like they are on the witness stand. They have no reason to be in the middle of a battle between their dad and I, and as far as I'm concerned, there shouldn't be a battle. We would be able to co-exist peacefully for the sake of our boys. But for him, that is not possible.
Today there is a co-worker (not in my office) who has decided to be rather testy via emails. To give you background, inter-office mail lost an envelope that was mailed from me to her two weeks ago. My dad taught me to never burn bridges, but apparently this woman has never heard of this strategy and it's rather unfortunate.
Dave shared a story with me about how he blessed a former co-worker with niceties (is that spelled properly?) because she was such a sour woman. The pissier she was, the nicer Dave would be to her. And today and this week that is how I am trying to handle the sour people in my life. Well, except with DH. Dave said the best we can do is pray for him, and I agree.

Day 152, Post 1
Yes, I am at work. I'm continuing to work on a special project with a couple of great co-workers, however today is review day and... It gets a bit boring. Except for when one of them starts tapping out sitcom theme songs on the table and a google search for the actual theme song follows. That's what's happening now.
I talked to the boys last night (they are at their dad's), and I feel bad for their dad. Why? At the end of the conversation they wanted to know when they are coming back to my house and wanted to blow me kisses. They don't do that during conversations with their dad, but that's because he hasn't earned the respect from them to receive that type of treatment. And that sucks.
Dave and I are continuing to work wonderfully as a team. Last night we relished in the fact that we paid the rent not only on-time, but a day early. While this may seem like a small accomplishment to some, it's huge to us. Although it will be slow-going, we see in our near future that all bills (well, all household bills, not my personal debt) will be caught up, on time, and paid on a timely basis. And that's a WONDERFUL feeling. While in the past I hated with a passion the necessary task of balancing my checkbook... And refused to do it... Now I have an Excel file that breaks down all my spending into categories and I check my bank account on a daily basis. Plus, I have a yearly tab which shows the spending per category from one month to the next and is truly an eye-opener. I have to remember that the month of May included a road-trip for the four of us back to New York, but the amount I/we spent eating out was ridiculous!
I can't figure out how to include my spreadsheet (my figures excluded) to this post, but if you would like the file to use for yourself, let me know!

DAY 137, Post 1
I think the hardest part of my job is knowing what to do when I have nothing to do. Right now is obviously one of those moments. At no previous job has my desk ever been cleaner than my desk is right now. Is there clutter on it? Yes. But only of the kind that my co-workers need and I can't put in a drawer that may be locked when they go to get it. So... The Franklin Covey puncher for organizer pages stays on my desk, taking up a valuable two-square-feet..
A definite perk of this job is the plethora of K-Cup options for the Keurig machine in the break rooms. With probably a minimum of 20 flavors, I've been able to try my tongue at them without having to buy a whole box at the grocery store. At $7.99/box, I would hate to get a box home and discover upon the first sip that I detest the flavor. Thanks to Dave and his sweet tooth, I've started putting sugar in my coffee again and have been able to stomach every flavor the break room has to offer.
And the highlights of my job?! The continued ability to have lunch with Dave every day. And today we carpooled. (Can it be considered carpooling when we only drive a quarter-mile at most to work?) Unfortunately the lunches and carpooling will stop next week when his schedule moves up an hour-and-a-half, but we'll still be able to see each other on breaks.
This is the boys' weekend with their Dad, quite appropriately considering it's Father's Day weekend, and Dave and I are enjoying a little bit of quiet already. Weekends begin Wednesday night and don't end until I pick them up after work on Monday. I can't fully figure out what to do for Dave for Father's Day though. K is across the ocean, and my bank account is suffering, but I still want to do something special for him. He is an amazing father to his daughter, an amazing role-model for my boys, and an amazing person altogether. I just want him to have an amazing day.

DAY 102, Post 2
I can feel my belly growing... The delicacies prepared by Dave in the kitchen and on the grill are already impacting my weight. I can feel it. And it's funny... I know it's happening because a dress I bought two weeks ago (and am wearing for the first time today) doesn't fit as well around the boobs as it did before. No, I'm not pregnant. BUT, I did notice that when I lost weight I lost it in my boobs. Hmmm...
Today for lunch Dave made barbeque pork chop sandwiches and hot italian sausages on the grill. I'm afraid I won't make it through the afternoon at work due to falling asleep due to a full-belly enduced euphoria. The yummy deliciousness is sitting in my stomach, and it's a very good thing there's not a seam running down the front of my dress or I'd be afraid it would split.
Tonight after work Dave and I will be going to play pool with my co-workers. The guys, minus the manager and assistant manager, have a regular Thursday night weekly outing set up and apparently I'm worthy enough to be invited, haha. It probably helps that I was able to connect with JM, one of my co-workers, almost immediately by discussing WoW with him.
Last night Dave and I went down to Beavercreek to go to the Fairfield Mall as well as DSW and Old Navy. Dave introduced me to Bourbon Chicken (was that the name?) at Cajun Ming, and then I introduced him to Williams Sonoma. I think the latter overwhelmed him a bit. I'm not surprised, however, considering the store is packed full of high-quality, over-priced cooking tools. If I could buy him one of everything, I would.
I was tickled (Pink, haha) to find that Gap had stock of my favorite perfume, "So Pink", still on their shelves. Unfortunately it's been discontinued, so I'll soon have to find a new fragrance to wear. Not only do I love it, but Dave as well to the point that he asked me to spray it up under the dashboard in the car on the way home. Within seconds the aroma of "So Pink" filled the car. It was lovely, I won't deny, but even more beautiful was the huge smile it put on his face. Ahhh, how I LOVE seeing his smiles.
I had trouble falling asleep last night, but for a good reason, rather than bad. I honestly laid there thinking, "Did I die? Am I in heaven?" I was going to ask Dave to pinch me, however I decided instead to lie there enjoying being wrapped up in his arms and listening to his soft snoring. Oh how love is such a beautiful thing!

DAY 88, Post 1
Alrighty then! It's time I fill you in on all the greatness in my life in the last week!
I gave in. Last Tuesday I decided I just couldn't ignore my feelings. I had told myself, him (Dave aka CL-WoW) and others over and over that there was no way we met to just spend two months together... And I was right... And he knew it too...
I decided to make an Easter basket for him, putting egg related messages on 31 Cellas, his favorite candy treat, and putting them in plastic Easter eggs. I drove out there, drove by his house and his car wasn't there. So I drove to the mall. When I was pulling through the mall parking lot, I saw him pulling out of a restaurant across the street and head back to his house. I stopped my car, psyched myself back up and decided to go for it.
But it wasn't that easy. I sat outside his house in my car for a couple minutes and then did a "Beep Beep." But he didn't come out. So after a few more minutes and writing up a bunch more post-its, I walked to the door and knocked. And he answered. And he SMILED!
The post-it on my pointer finger said "Can I have two minutes?". And he said of course. The next finger said "I won't say anything unless it's ok with you.". He said "Of course its ok if you talk!" And talk we did. And have. And everything we've both felt has now been said... And will continue being said...
There's no shortage of smiles, laughter or "I love you's" in my life now.
To make this past week even better, I started my new job, and today actually quit the old one. My new job is amazing. Great people, great environment, and despite wanting to be home with Dave, the work day flies. And I love that. I love having a job I enjoy and am good at.
And as for Dave, he is looking to get a job here and has been a... Ray of sunshine in my life for the last week. It's been amazing to come home and see him here. The smiles, laughter, kisses, hugs and "I love yous" are everthing I could ask for, especially when they are coming from the man I want to spend forever with.
I was also blessed with a visit with my Mom and Aunt Flushy this past weekend. I now have real furniture in my apartment and was lucky enough to be accompanied by these two wonderful women and Dave when I was re-affirmed on this past (Easter)Sunday.
Oh... I am SOOO blessed!

DAY 72, Post 2
I'm having difficulty today taking my mind off him. I'm sitting in my car at Thing 1's baseball practice and I'm... Concerned. I guess while I didn't expect a response from my last email, even a short and even rude one would have let me know he's alive. No, I can't say alive and well because under his circumstances, I wouldn't expect well. But because of his circumstances, that's why I would like even a one word response. Because I am a worrier. I am concerned. And I care too much.
The vibe was off as soon as I got to work this morning. I could feel it. And right away I prayed to God to help me make it through the day. And... I got to cut avocados! While it may sound like a small thing, I'm in what one of my managers call the "cash trap.". They (the managers) find someone who's good at running the register and keep them there. And when you're on cash, there are so many duties assigned to you that you don't have time during your shift to try to learn anything new. But today... I did. And it made my day.

DAY 70, Post 2
I only have a few minutes before I need to get ready for work. Today I work 8-4. I clearly upset my General Manager yesterday when he saw the note that I had updated my availability for work. He came to ask me about not being able to work on Sundays, and I stated to him that the church has asked me to help out. While I haven't written about it on here before, the church has contacted me to assist in the Children's Ministry, particularly in the childcare rooms during services. I would be honored. But I can't (personally)commit unless I know that I will not have to work on Sundays. It would be unfair for them to count on me unless I can commit to not working on Sundays. And seeing as I had been thinking about it for some time anyway, I think it's the right thing to do. As Christians we aren't supposed to work on Sundays anyway, so what better way to "work" then to help out at my church?
I've spent the last hour scouring the internet for jobs and luckily found a couple to apply for. While for the most part I like the people I work with at my job, the pay and hours really aren't working for me. And having a four year degree, I am really concerned that I will get trapped in the minimum-wage restaurant track if I don't make a change soon. I'm grateful that I've made it the three months I have there so far though. Seriously, the job is MUCH more intense than I ever expected.
While looking for a new job, I've also been giving a lot of thought to going back to college. I'm debating between education and therapy/counseling as far as majors go, and I will continue to think about it, probably until the fall. Both of my moms went back to school later in life, and both went back after the age of 32, so I can wait a bit longer until I figure out if this is my calling. The thought of taking out more student loans continues to be troubling to me, but pursuing a career in interior design/architecture is proving to be difficult, especially due to the geographic constraints imposed by the divorce. And there is no way I will move out of the area and lose time with my boys. NO way.

DAY 66, Post 3
I'm taking steps in the moving-forward direction this morning. Whether they be the right steps or not, I guess only time will tell.
I called my attorney's office this morning and set up an appointment for next Friday morning to discuss bankruptcy. I still have feelings of guilt when considering bankruptcy, but I believe it really is something I need to consider. If given the choice between paying of the debt little-by-little, it could take me the rest of my life. And the last thing I want to think about, even at age 32, is leaving my boys debt when I die. So... I need to consider bankruptcy. I'm already operating on a cash-basis as far as finances go, and I have absolutely no intention of ever racking up debt on credit cards ever again.
Next, I received a call from a local, architectural and engineering focused employment agency. They had a job in the office, which was unfortunately more senior of a position then I am eligible for, which they wanted to speak to me about. Fortunately, the man told me they do get a number of jobs through their office, and he would like to sit down with me next week. So... Yay! I've already updated my resume(s) and gotten them back to him, so now I just have to wait and see what happens.
Lastly, I called a car insurance company to get a quote for my car. The car will be paid off and the title transferred to me in the next 30 days, so registration and car insurance are next on my list of bigger expenditures. Luckily we're not still living outside of New York City and the car insurance will be (relatively) affordable.
Oh! I also forgot to mention that I wrote up a monthly budget! It didn't have the car insurance cost as I didn't know that yet, however I'm seeing what I have to spend money on and how much money that will leave me at the end of every month. The leftover isn't very much, and it's plainly obvious to me that I need to get a higher paying job. I have so much to be grateful for though. One of my co-workers is working two jobs, probably both at the same rate as I'm getting paid, as she has FIVE children. I can't imagine being under that type of stress. Food, clothes, car-pools, activities, etc. It's hard enough with just my two boys! She is married though, but still... If he's making the same as us... It's got to be REALLY hard!

DAY 61, Post 2
I can't really express how I've felt today. My emotions, feelings, etc. run all over the gamut. Tired, motivated, proud, spiritual... Those are just a few...
I covered a shift at work this morning for a girl who has now lost her job for not showing up and not calling up for a few shifts earlier this week. As much as I can't stand my job sometimes, I can't imagine just letting it go. And that's not to say there aren't times I just want to quit. Because there certainly are. But even if/when I find a better job, I still planning on keeping this one just as a back-up. Will I be exhausted from working so much? Hell, yea! But I never want to be in the situation where I don't have a job again. So if it takes two jobs to ensure this, then so-be-it.
While I hate to admit it, I was able to pay my rent today, by myself, for the first time since I moved in here in December. And writing that rent check was... Exhilirating. After that I came home and paid part of my electricity bill as well. Thank goodness for companies that allow partial payments! While I could have paid the full amount that my bill showed, that would have left only a little bit of money in my account until I get paid in two weeks. And I don't like having that little in my account. I think I've written it before, but it's amazing how I can manage my money when I don't have a lot, but when I did have... More... I handled it like shit. I don't think I've had one overdraft charge since I moved out in December. Woo hoo for me!
After getting home I cleaned the living room, washed one batch of dishes, took care of the trash and did a load and a half of laundry. I wouldn't have had to do the second load of laundry but the darn cat won't stop peeing on Thing 1's bed. Yuck, I know. But with Penny here, Miki has taken up refuge in Thing 1's room.
And Penny... Damn her sometimes... This morning I found her chewing Thing 1's NEW hearing aid, which he had left on the floor last night. Not the place to leave it by any means, but damn it, Penny! Thing 1 lost his hearing aid the day we moved out and DH just took him to get this new one three weeks ago. Hearing aids, for those of you who don't know, are NOT covered by health insurance, and cost over a thousand dollars each. So... I will have the pleasure of covering the cost of the new earmold. The earmold is the plastic piece that goes into the ear. Thank goodness the electronic part was spared from Penny's wrath.
The boys have realized that the weekends they are with me coincide with the Friday's I get paid. Thing 2 has been begging for a new baseball glove, however that's not in the budget right now. Neither is dinner at La Fiesta, which they have been asking for as well. The baseball glove isn't a necessity, however his glove from last year is currently missing, as is Thing 1's baseball bat. And Thing 1's baseball practice started this week, so... Yea...
Tomorrow is the last Saturday of sports for the boys at the YMCA until the fall, for which I am immensely grateful. While I enjoy watching the boys play, spending over three hours of my Saturdays off at the YMCA is not the highlight of my weekend. I'll be much happier this spring and summer watching them play baseball, especially since I am not coaching this season. I'll miss coaching, without a doubt, but with my job at CMG, I can't afford to take off all the time for practice and games. I don't think a parent realizes just how much time and energy coaching takes until they've done it themselves. Unfortunately for the coaches, they suffer sometimes from the wrath of parents who don't realize the sacrifices the coaching parents make.
This week I have learned the value of patience, from a variety of experiences. Work, customers, CL-WoW have each taught me a bit. And I appreciate the lessons each have provided. It's amazing, however, how much the customers taught me, and not necessarily in a positive way. With the computers down yesterday, it was amazing how nasty some customers got when they couldn't speed through the line as they normally do. But then there are the customers behind the nasty customers who try to make the cashier's (my) day better by joking about the previous customers. Two women especially, put a smile on my face yesterday when they commented on the customer in front of them. So thank you, ladies! Patience truly is a virtue!
So for the next few weeks and months, I will exercise patience. And it's going to be an interesting couple of weeks. I could be divorced this coming Tuesday if everything goes smoothly at our pre-trial. Or, it could be just shy of two weeks from now when I'm officially divorced, and if that's the case, I will patiently await the day. I thought about the day for years, and I can patiently wait a couple more weeks for it. And as for the other things/situations I am hoping for, I will patiently wait for them as well. No more trying to force them to happen sooner rather than later. If they happen, they will happen when they are supposed to. But in the meantime I need to remind myself to focus on what I need rather than what I want.

DAY 60, Post 2
Holy day from hell. And it all has to do with work. The good part is that I have a job, and nothing bad happened to me today. The bad part is... The computers were down, in various ways, all day. And I, being the lucky person that I am, was the only person the system would allow to 1) clock in and 2) be cashier. And that was only after we were open for an hour and having to process every credit card transaction with a crappy hand machine. So yea... Stressful.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that due to another (ex) employee, I went to work two hours early today (she had two no-calls/no-shows earlier this week) and opened after closing last night. I'm NOT a fan of only having eight hours between shifts.
On a different note... Emails were exchanged last night and very early this morning. They started with a not-so-nice one from me, followed by a not-so-nice one from him, followed by an apology from him and then a couple of others. I continue to worry about him, but am going to limit my contact to Wednesdays for the time being. I guess they will be "Happy Hump Day" messages. As much as he is used to doing everything on his own, for reasons I DO understand, I want to remind him that he is not alone.

DAY 54, Post 3
I'm completely exhausted, yet my brain is in complete over-drive. Actually, I have no desire to sit at home, and would get up and drive if I didn't have to finish drying clothes for the boys. They are at DH's this weekend. I can't say I won't be driving after I drop the clothes off at his house. It's either that or pass out on the living room floor, as I don't feel like making my bed.
Work was... Work today. I kept my mouth shut and not that I ever let myself stand still (unless there is a customer at the register with me), I definitely didn't let myself stand still. SK, one of the two managers I like, told me I did great today. That made me feel better... Sort of. The funny, although not of the ha-ha kind, is that three others asked me if I had gotten my break today. I guess it was made more of a conversation last night after I left. I choose not to think about that though.
I look around my apartment, and although it's not a wreck, Penny knows how to make a mess while nobody's at home. Yarn and shoes are strewn all over the living room, I know I really should clean them up. But... I really don't feel like it. I want to snap my fingers like Mary Poppins and have everything put away where it belongs.
It's a good thing I'm not a drinker. And by drinker I mean serious, hard-core drinker. Because if I was, I would probably spend the night in a bar. And a drink doesn't even sound appetizing, just the numbing effects do.

DAY 54, Post 2
I REALLY didn't want to come to work today. What I heard yesterday really offended me, as I consider myself to be a really good worker. But I did come, and for the most part have kept my mouth shut.
One of my favorite managers (two I like, two I don't) asked me if I was alright this morning and I did have a short discussion with her. She didn't make my day, but she improved my mood by telling me she thinks I'm a good employee. She recommended that I just don't talk to the other manager, as she (the other manager) is the one who raised the topic about me at the manager's meeting. I already got bad vibes off her, so it shouldn't be hard to keep tight-lipped around her.
Now to finish my food before I have to get back to work...

DAY 43, Post 2
It was an emotional day at work, and for once the emotions weren't from me. I must say, as bad as I felt for the two emotional ones, I found comfort in knowing I'm not the only one who gets emotional there to the point of tears. I think one of my co-workers is having a hard time with the requirements of the job, and the lack of a break that is sometimes received (especially by the opening shift), and I found myself reminding myself how thankful I am just to have a job.
Today marks T minus one-month to D-Day. Nine years ago I was counting down the days to the wedding, and now I'm looking forward to having my single life back to myself, officially. Can I even call it a single life though, considering now I have two boys, a dog and a very fat cat to support?
I got home today to find a notice in the mail that my Food Stamps have been terminated as of the end of this month due to child support. As scary as this could be for me, I'm not scared. Somehow I know everything will work out. I don't know how yet, but I know it will.

DAY 42, Post 2
I'm feeling a little bit like a Mercy Me song I've been listening to...
"I'm finding myself
At a loss for words
And the funny thing is
It's ok."
~Word of God Speak
This past week was interesting... Good, bad, easy, difficult, funny, sad, etc. I really don't know what, if anything, I could say about it.
Entertaining enough, however, was work yesterday. The hot water heater broke, again, so the restaurant had to shut down for a bit at 3:30ish. I was off at 4, however, so it didn't impact me. I hadn't gotten a break, so I helped reduce some of the inventory before they had to throw it out by eating before leaving. While I was eating, the evening shift crew started cleaning, preparing for a solid close. One of the workers was cleaning the fryer (I think) and the next thing I knew, I heard yelling and saw flames, small flames, coming from the fryer. It's funny how some people, including myself, don't know how to put out a grease fire. Luckily someone knew and threw salt on the flames.
Tonight I tried out the Singles Group at Ginghamsburg. I was younger than everyone else by about 15 years and for me that was sort of difficult. I can't explain it, but to say I was looking for people closer to my age who would know what I'm going through. While some of them knew and understood, I just felt... Awkward. I decided to leave at "Intermission" and come home.
CT and I hung out for the past two nights, and Julie helped me organize my inventory on Friday night. Thank you, Julie! I made pasta on Friday night for CT and I, and I have to say that a highlight of the evening was the pasta readiness test... After we had already eaten. There is a secret to throwing pasta, and sometimes it sticks better than others.
Right now I'm watching the portion of Star Trek (the movie) that I slept through last night. We started off the night with Jackass 3 and pizza from Cassanos (thank you, Bronco!!), but I just couldn't last through a second movie. I don't think I've ever been able to last through two movies. Jackass 3, by the way, is hilarious, but also gag-inducing. I'm just glad the boys didn't see it. I don't even want to think about the crazy ideas they would get watching it.
Now, I think it's laundry time for me. So much to fold, and I believe a clean apartment would make me feel better. Unfortunately all the scrapbooking supplies I recovered are taking up a huge amount of space.

DAY 25, Post 3
I was outside with our puppy, Penny, this morning, and was watching her run around with a piece of bread she found in a neighbor's yard. She scurried around for a bit, looking for a place to hide her treasure, and she made me think... "Dogs are smart. How do I 'hide' my treasures so that they don't escape me?"
This afternoon she had a stick. I have sticks... My boys, the little money I make at my job, my job, my apartment, my self-respect, my happiness, my health, my family, my friends... How do I not get the short end of the stick? How do I ensure someone isn't going to cut one of them down and try to take it away from me? And if they try, how do I prevent it?
The District Manager was in the restaurant today and was talking to my manager about design issues in our store. I couldn't help but to take the opportunity during my break to ask him if corporate positions are hired from within the company as well... and he said YES! He said that whenever possible, all positions are filled by people who are already within the company. AND he gave me the information for the Design Manager, as with the expansions and new locations the company is constantly having, they could possibly need additional help. So, I'll be contacting her to inquire about possible positions tonight!

DAY 24, Post 3
Ahhhh... The joy of sitting on my butt at home after a day at work. Today's work included scrubbing the grout between the floor and cove base. It's nice and white now but damn! I could join the military with my floor scrubbing-with-a-brush skills! Too bad I can't do a pull-up... yet...
I have two... Well... Three pairs of jeans, two that I can wear to work. One I already knew were too big and required a belt. The second pair today proved that they are reaching that point as well. I NEVER thought I would be down to this weight again. I mean, I haven't been in the 150's since BEFORE I got pregnant with #1. That was 9 years ago! Woo hoo! Now I'm just going to start doing crunches and home exercises so that I keep the weight off. Anybody know of any good exercises to make legs look as good as the belly?
Tonight, and every Wednesday night, DH has the boys. They all had a meeting this afternoon with the Guardian ad Lietum (spelling?), and I wish I had been a fly on the wall to see/hear how it went. The GAL, for those of you who don't know, is an attorney appointed by the court to give his/her recommendation on who should get custody of the boys. I didn't have the money to pay my half until I was paid last week, so my initial appointment isn't until next week. DH's home visit with the boys and the GAL is next Wednesday night... My birthday. I can't say I'm necessarily disappointed about not having the boys on my birthday, but my birthday in general brings mixed feelings. I hadn't seen my 32nd year starting this way. But it's going to be a GREAT year. I won't settle for anything else.
My co-workers at CMG joke about my "Black Book." Being the outgoing person that I have become, there isn't a week that goes by that I don't get a phone number, business card or prayer from a customer. Actually, that's how C.T. and I met, haha. Last week I racked up all three, but the phone numbers weren't from people interested in dating me. The first was from a single mom on Valentine's Day who joked about how she was going to take her food home with a bottle of wine and wallow in her singleness for the night. I joked with her about how I wanted to go to the grocery and borrow their motorized cart. The business cards were from a personal trainer (I have a free training session!) and a lawyer who randomly asked me if I, or anyone else in my life, needed a prayer. I said yes, and mentioned myself and one other (for individual prayers), and he and his companion broke out in prayer in the middle of the dining room. While I appreciated the gesture, I must admit it felt rather... awkward.
To our customers who wear AXE cologne... God, you smell GOOD!
On that note, I've decided to revise and share my "Soul Mate Spec Sheet" in one of my future posts. Hope it's read and appreciated by someone worthy!

DAY 21, Post 3
It's been a lovely day... A lovely weekend for that matter...
Today Thing 2 had a Jedi Training birthday party to go to, and he came home with a new Yoda costume and a bag full of candy from a pinata. I asked him if they used their light sabers to break into the pinata and he said no, a golf club. Hmmm... Seems some Jedi wasn't quite thinking about the powers of the force.
I went in to get my schedule this afternoon and I have tomorrow and Tuesday off and I work Wednesday 10-5. I'm thinking this means I'll be working full days this weekend, but as long as I get a fair share of hours I'll be satisfied. I told CT this afternoon though that I plan on getting a full-time day job by the end of March. I WILL get a full-time day job by the end of March. While I love my co-workers at CMG, I would much rather know that I have every night and weekend to myself... as well as not have to clean bathrooms and the lovely floor drains. I'll keep my job at CMG so that I can maintain my health insurance post-divorce, however I need... Something more...
On the way home from picking up Thing 2 from the birthday party we stopped at Family Video and got a couple movies (for me and CT) and a video game. The movies are Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Monty Python and the Life of Brian.
Mom asked me this morning if I would rather have clothes or money for my birthday, and the most honest answer I could give her was "Mom, I have no idea what size I wear." Jeans I bought in October or November no longer fit, to the point that they fall off my hips when I'm at work. It's ridiculous to think I've lost that much in just three months.
And on to the NASCAR race... Denny Hamlin almost had it for me. But with four laps left some other drivers crashed and sent him back to 24th position. He made it back up to 21 though, but entering the season with 21 isn't exactly where I wanted to be.
Tonight I am making Lasagne for dinner. Is it homemade? No. But this awesome Stoffeurs lasagne has been sitting in my freezer for some time now and I'm looking for it to be gone. I didn't make breakfast today, and honestly, for the first time in a weeks I didn't miss Breakfast with the Beatles. Maybe that means I'm finally moving on. Yay me!

I find it quite amusing how some things seem to parallel (YOU will know what I'm talking about). Last weekend we got Paranormal Activity 2. Not as good as Paranormal Activity (1) in my opinion but still scary.
CT is helping me achieve my fitness goals, even if for now I'm just getting psyched about them and haven't started working on them yet. Having lost 60-70 pounds in the past year I've got a little bit of belly to burn away, and I'll be doing crunches everyday until I have money to do something more (like join a gym) about it. Push-ups may also be in the cards, but... I've never been a fan of push-ups. It would be nice, however, to finally be able to do a pull-up. I've NEVER been able to do one. Imagine that, being able to do my first pull-up at age 32. How completely satisfying! Oh, how I would love a belly like Gillian Michaels'.
